Safe, flexible, intelligent and highly rewarding, are these reasons enough to get you excited about the latest range of micro-inverters HMS from Hypontech? Please follow the introduction to learn more about HMS!

Ø  Safe and Reliable

l  IP67 Protection
HMS is IP67 Protection rated, dustproof and waterproof for immersion, capable of operating outdoors without concerning about rain, snow or frost. No matter how harsh the operating environment is, the HMS is still performing well and generating power continuous.

l  Safer system with low voltage
Compared to string inverter systems, Hypontech’s HMS is a 1-to-2 microinverter, with two independent MPPTs connecting to the PV modules, which means each HMS operates at a lower PV voltage and is safer in terms of its own characteristics. Therefore, when carrying out work on roof, the risk of electric shock during wiring and maintenance is reduced and safety is increased.

Ø  Flexible System Design

l  15A, Large PV input current

Hypontech’s HMS can be used with different sizes, powers and specifications of PV modules up to a maximum output current of 15A, making it more flexible to meet various system design requirements. For example, on a roof of the same size, a 15A module can be connected to a higher power rating, which means that a higher installed capacity can be accommodated on a limited roof area, resulting in a higher yield.

l  Inline PV and AC cables

Hypontech’s HMS is equipped with inline plugs and cables for PV and AC on both sides, so there is no need to make separate cables to connect to the inverter. Plug-and-play, easy to use, making cable connection to the microinverter quicker, easier and afer, and the system more convenient to connect. Both the HMS and the cables can be concealed directly between the module and the roof or fixed to the module bracket, taking up no extra space with a neat-looking system.

l  Built-in WIFI

Each HMS is inbuilt with a wireless AP and Bluetooth module, with a transceiver antenna attached externally to strengthen the communication. There is no need for additional DTU r connecting a communication wire for your PV system monitoring. HMS is easy to configure and monitor in the Hypon.Cloud - simply connect the HMS to the home router via the Hypon.Cloud App.

l  Component level monitoring
When the HMS is connected to Hypon.Cloud, the power generated by the PV modules on the 2-way MPPT can be monitored in real time at any time of the day, meaning you can review the performance of each PV module at throughout the day, giving more accurate analysis, diagnosis and optimization of your system at each timestamp.

For example, when there is a sudden drop in power generation of your system, you can use the Layout in Hypon.Cloud to see whether it is a faulty connection, shadowing affecting part of the modules, and hence locate the problematic panel easily and effectively.

Ø  Easy upgrade system

l  Expanding System Capacity Easily
HMS is based on a modular design and it is easy to increase the capacity of a PV system fitted with a Hypontech HMS microinverter, simply by adding more PV modules and HMS. Plan for future growth in demand and when the home has a higher demand for electricity, HMS makes it easy to quickly increase capacity.

l  Upgraded to Storage Systems

Every inverter of Hypontech adopts platform-based architecture design. The HMS microinverter can be seamlessly integrated and paired with Hypontech's range of grid-connected inverters, AC-coupled inverters and EV charging solutions. It can be used at any time with the hybrid inverters or the AC-coupled inverters to install additional batteries to upgrade PV power systems into PV energy storage systems, and with HCS EV charger to power your electric cars.
On top of it, all the components can be monitored with just one platform——Hypon.Cloud for cloud-based monitoring of each product, it is easy to integrate a one-stop energy management system solution.

Ø  High return on investment

l  No single point of failure

The HMS-equipped PV system has one microinverter for every 2 modules and can be connected in parallel, so that solar energy production of your system consistently works even if one of the connections goes wrong.

l  Full power operation up to 40°C

While microinverters on the market generally start to degrade at temperature of 25-30°C, but HMS can operate at 100% of rated power at ambient temperatures up to 40°C.
When the PV system is in long-term operation or when the ambient temperature is high, with HMS, there is no need to worry about losing of efficiency and hence reducing the yield from your system.

The superior design of the HMS allows it to perform better in higher ambient temperatures, enhancing the long-term profitability of the system.

l  Start-up voltage only 16V

With low light intensities when the sun rises or sets, or that it is a cloudy day, the HMS can start operating at voltages as low as 16V, meaning that the PV system can start generating power earlier in the morning and finish later in the evening, even if light conditions are poor due to shadows or rainy days, the HMS can still ensure maximum system yield.
